Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to Japan visits Chiba University

H.E. Mr. Carlos Pere, Ambassador Extraordinary of the Republic of Panama, visited Chiba University on November 29, 2021, to attend the signing ceremony for the educational collaboration agreement. Under a new scholarship established with SENACYT and IFARHU, Chiba University will welcome Panamanian graduate students at the Graduate School of Horticulture.

The Embassy of Panama in Japan has supported the development of the exchanges between universities in Panama and Chiba University, and Chiba University formed academic exchange agreements with Panama University and Panama University of Technology. This new agreement also came to be formed thanks to the Ambassador, and it will accelerate the collaboration.

In the ceremony, the Ambassador, the President, and professors of Chiba University discussed potential areas for future collaboration while enjoying 'Panama Chiba Coffee,' which was launched in 2018.
