Guidance for New International Students

The International Support Desk (ISD) provides international students who are new to Chiba University with guidance on life in Japan. We will explain the support for international students at Chiba University, scholarships, residency management, laws and rules to follow in Japan, preparation for disasters such as earthquakes, and other important matters to start your life as a foreign student in Japan.

We will talk about the procedures for starting life in Japan. Guidance is also a chance to make new friends. Please take this opportunity to attend the event. If you are unable to attend, please review the following materials and videos on your own.

For JPAC Students

Date & Time：From 10a.m. to 12p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2024
JPAC students will be contacted directly by a JPAC representative with details.
(JPAC students are undergraduate students with academic interests in Japanese culture and society from partner institutes where Chiba University has a student exchange agreement with.)

For all International students except JPAC students

Date & Time：From 12p.m.to 1p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2024
Venue：1st Floor, Center for International Education (CIE), Nishi-Chiba Campus

SIM card sales event

SIM card sales event by GTN will be held at Nishi-Chiba Campus.
Date & Time：From 10:00a.m. to 4p.m, Tuesday, March 26, 2024
Venue：1st Floor, Center for International Education (CIE), Nishi-Chiba Campus
How to apply: Refer to the leaflets and make a reservation by March 20.Please check here .

*If you cannot come on the day of the event, but you can purchase SIM card from the GTN website. You can choose how to receive a SIM card, so please check the above documents.

Exchange event hosted by Chiba University's International Student Group (CISG)

Please join us for a welcome party hosted by Japanese students.
